Raising the standard

At Lissett, every home is built with care, precision, and purpose. From high-quality materials to expert construction techniques and outstanding insulation, we make sure your home meets the highest standards — not just today, but for years to come.

We don’t just follow industry regulations — we go beyond them. Because when it comes to quality, we never compromise.

Built for Strength and Efficiency

A typical Lissett home weighs over 20 tonnes and is built with high-grade insulation — 120mm in the walls, 200mm in the floor, and 400mm in the roof.

We build to BS3632 residential standards for park homes and lodges — and go beyond where it counts using energy efficient SIPs construction.

U-values measure heat loss.

Air permeability measures airtightness.

In both cases, lower figures mean better performance.

The table below shows how we compare for construction of our standard builds. Please enquire for further details on our SIPs build models which achieve even better performance.

Component Lissett Standard BS3632 Building Regs

Design

We use advanced 3D CAD software to design every home with precision. This allows us to optimise space, customise layouts, and resolve details before a single component is built — giving you full confidence in the design. You can even explore your home virtually before it goes into production.

Roof Construction

Our trussed rafters support both flat and vaulted ceilings and are engineered and built in-house to precise specifications.

Roof, walls and floor are firmly connected using structural fixings, adhesives and cross-bonded, fire resistant engineered timber board, creating a single, unified structure.

The result is a structure of exceptional strength — capable of withstanding transportation, structural loads and built to handle the scale of the industry’s largest lodges. It’s why developers return to Lissett, time and time again.

Walls

We construct our walls with precision-engineered timber frames and premium 120mm insulation, delivering exceptional thermal performance all year round. Each section is built with strength and rigidity in mind, using tightly fitted boards and a multi-layered vapour control system to keep moisture out and comfort in. As with our floors, every material is carefully selected — because structural integrity starts with the right components.

Chassis & Floor Construction

Every home starts with a heavy-duty hot-rolled steel chassis, built with twin C-section beams and high-tensile cross-bracing. Engineered to meet CP501 and BS3632 standards, our chassis are designed to support the weight and strength of our construction — and built to last a lifetime.

We build our floors using high-grade structural timber joists, vacuum-treated to protect against fungi and insects. Each joist is mechanically fixed to the chassis at two points, forming a single, reinforced structure. Every piece of timber is individually inspected and only the best make the cut — ensuring strength, stability, and long-term performance.

Every Lissett home reflects our commitment to quality — and to the planet. Discover how we’re making sustainability part of everything we do.
